She is known today by her Greek name Isis; however, the ancient Egyptians called her Aset. Her name translates to “Queen of the Throne” which is reflected in her headdress, which is typically a throne. She is one of the most important deities whose rites are connected with the afterlife, as a magical healer, she cured the sick and brought the deceased to life. Isis is worshiped throughout Europe, and even by pagans today.
